Adults Fight Camp
FIGHTERS ARE REQUIRED TO…
Leave your egos at the door.
Arrive prepared with your own gear.
Give 100% commitment.
Have a great attitude. Humility is key.
Communicate with your coach and trainers
Attend minimum sessions required.
Support each other and your team.
Active positive social media.
Attend fight shows and support.
Keep fighters (private group chat) info private.
Never give up.
Our SMT Fight Group Chat is for us to update you all about expectations, training days / times, fight shows, show photos & more. Please acknowledge posts with a “Like” or comment if needed regarding the topic.
We keep the flow simple, easy for you to find & not miss information where possible.
All information that goes into this chat stays in this chat. Especially announcing fights. We may post about it in here, but not be able to post public until the promotion allows. When you see we post to the public, then you know it’s okay to do so.
We try really hard to take pictures for the team’s journey. You’re most welcome to take them & share yourself. Obviously giving the gym a shout out.
Fight show pictures are for you to follow up, we do not purchase these for you.
No taking or sharing videos from training or fights unless the gym has done so. We try & keep our fighters improvements to us & let their fight be the example of how far they have come.
Please be super supportive of your team mates. Be the first to like, support, congratulate anyone on their journey. Because I promise you’ll notice when it’s your turn & the teams there for you!
This also goes for yourself. Win, lose, draw you post. Don’t be sore losers! Anyone who steps over the ropes deserves respect & acknowledgment for their achievements.
We will make contact if there needs to be a change of day or time.
You MUST message us if you’re going to miss a session or running late.
Please NEVER contact promotors, zero tolerance! All information that’s needed will be public or through us.
Be humble, don’t brag & just train.
Everyone’s gloves, shin pads, mouth guard etc MUST be in good condition. We say gloves for hitting pads, bag etc & gloves for only sparring.
Adults sparring MUST have 16oz gloves or no sparring.
LEAD BY EXAMPLE
Please be leaders within the gym! Be the first to say “HI” to new people walking in looking nervous & lost. Be the first to clean your equipment, bags etc. Be the first to offer to stay behind to help out with mopping etc. Be a team that doesn’t need to be told
STALKING / RESEARCHING FIGHTERS
Unless you’re Spiro or Hannah, please leave the fight plans alone. Your job is to listen, try to improve, train hard & not stress about that stuff. Fighters change, who they fight changes, the environment changes. This goes for parents too! Leave the training to us, just be parents.
When we feel you’re ready, we will nominate you for a fight. This will be in our regular (nomination / fights booked post for each month). If you see a nomination & know you’re unavailable you must let us know asap so we can remove your name. Being nominated doesn’t mean you will fight, it means we/they’re trying to match you if possible.
All fighters will need to be available the day before & day of their fight. Weigh-ins etc can change or it’s sometimes best to travel the day before to save problems.
We ask that all fighters do their absolute best to attend their team mates fight shows.
Selling tickets is UP TO YOU as the fighter. Yes the gym can order tickets for everyone, but you MUST get family, friends etc bums on seats.
Zero tolerance for people coming out the back before or after at fight shows unless you’re picked to be there. Each show we give people rolls such as “corner, massage etc”. Your job is to represent in the crowd. This goes for parents!
We should be able to set weights as you have stopped growing & realistically should be dropping down.
Please always arrive with a packed bag, towel, water bottle, spare training clothes, always have runners, mouth guard, boys groin guards etc. Keep your things organised & not a mess in the gym. Also air your training gear at home.
BE UPFRONT & HONEST
As much as this is about rules, rules & rules. We absolutely love working with each of you, seeing your changes & helping you succeed. This may not be for everyone & that’s okay BUT be upfront & honest as we will be with you. We would rather people keep their love of the sport, get healthy & be around, then drag things on & hate it.
